Ste. Genevieve Memorial Hospital in St. Louis has hired McGrath & Associates to build a new $1.6 million surgery addition to the hospital. Construction is set to begin in March and wrap in October of 2015. Archimages Inc is the architect.
The two-story addition will connect two existing buildings to expand the hospital’s surgery space and create a new physician office space. The main floor of the addition will add a dedicated registration and waiting area for surgical patients and their families.
The main level also will house the practice of general surgeon Joseph Sharlow, M.D., with a waiting area, three exam rooms and a procedure room. The second floor will add six private surgery pre-op and post-op rooms.
McGrath will coordinate construction work around the hospital’s surgery schedule, and use surgery downtimes to connect the two buildings. McGrath also was the general contractor on the Ste. Genevieve Memorial Hospital’s Bloomsdale Medical Center, which was completed in 2013.
