McShane Construction Company has been awarded the design and build construction of a new 105,500 square foot corporate headquarters and manufacturing facility for Design Ready Controls, Inc.
Capstone Quadrangle selected the firm to complete the comprehensive build-to-suit assignment as part of the initial phase of the developer’s 20-acre Capstone Business Center located in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota.
McShane Construction is slated to break ground on the project in early May with the fast-track completion scheduled for December of this year.
The corporate headquarters will be constructed using precast concrete panels and a contemporary design. It will also include a production and warehouse area totaling 83,200 square feet, two drive-in doors, six dock-high doors, LED lighting, and an n ESFR sprinkler system.
The facility will also feature a two-story office component complete with numerous open and private offices, conference rooms, a break room and research and development area. In addition, an in-floor radiant thermal mass heat system will be utilized throughout the building, energizing at night to take advantage of off-peak energy rates, and solar panels on the rooftop will provide an additional energy source.
Archideas is providing the architectural services for this comprehensive manufacturing build-to-suit assignment.
The new facility will be located on a six-acre site at 93rd Avenue and U.S. 169 at 9325 Winnetka Avenue North.
