Jeffrey A. Raday, P.E., President of McShane Construction Company, announced the completion of Midtown Square on behalf of Trammell Crow Company, through its wholly owned subsidiary High Street Residential. The 138-unit, 215,000 square foot luxury apartment residence is situated on a premier 2.7-acre downtown site at Glenview Road and Church Street in Glenview, Illinois.
McShane Construction’s assignment required the demolition of several existing buildings in order to construct this four-story mixed-use development. Midtown Square offers a blend of efficient floor plans with 101 one-bedroom and 37 two-bedroom residences incorporating modern finishes such as quartz countertops, hardwood-style flooring, and in-unit washers and dryers. The complex also includes approximately 9,000 square feet of ground floor retail space and 5,000 square feet of tenant amenities including a contemporary fitness center and Wi-Fi coffee lounge, among others.
Midtown Square’s attractive exterior design incorporates numerous outdoor balconies and patios while utilizing an attractive blend of masonry, glass and metal components that integrate seamlessly with the existing neighborhood. The development features on-site parking for guests and retail clientele while a heated parking garage serves the parking needs of tenants.
McShane Construction also completed the project’s sitework including the construction of driveways, sidewalks and the surrounding landscaping.

Midtown Square is McShane Construction’s second assignment in the greater Chicagoland area for Trammell Crow Company, through its wholly owned subsidiary High Street Residential. McShane is currently constructing Park 205, a 115-unit multi-family development representing the first LEED for Homes residential complex in Park Ridge, Illinois.
