Merchants Bank of Indiana adds pair of mortgage loan officers

Damian London and Jeffery Frieman have joined Carmel, Indiana-based Merchants Mortgage, a division of Merchants Bank of Indiana, as mortgage loan officers.  

London brings nearly a decade of mortgage experience to his new role at Merchants Bank, having most recently served as a loan officer at Carrington Mortgage in Westfield, where he focused on structuring full documentation loans for a variety of clients. In his time at Carrington Mortgage, London originated conventional Federal Housing Administration (FHA) and Veterans Affairs (VA) mortgages, totaling more than $14.2 million in 2021. Prior to Carrington, London worked at Royal United Mortgage/Freedom Mortgage in Indianapolis. 

Frieman joins the Merchants Mortgage team with more than 20 years of experience, most recently as a senior loan officer at AmeriSave Mortgage Corporation. During his tenure with AmeriSave, Frieman consulted with borrowers looking to purchase properties nationwide, specializing in originations with first-time buyers. He was also an active participant in the new hire training program, assisting new employees with application, guidelines and company policy as well as the Mortgage Loan Origination System platform.

In their new capacities at Merchants Bank, London and Frieman will be responsible for developing new residential mortgage business with local and national clients, along with analyzing credit worthiness of applicants and negotiating terms, repayment and collateral requirements for a variety of loan types.
