Merchants Bank of Indiana adds two to its roster

Carmel, Indiana-based Merchants Bank of Indiana has added to its growing team: Mark Harville, who will now serve as Vice President, Small Business Administration Business Development Officer, and John Rinker, who will serve as Vice President, Business Banking. 

Harville originally joined Merchants Bank as a Business Banker in 2018. Prior to joining Merchants, he spent 12 years with PNC Bank working with small businesses and commercial clients in various capacities. Actively involved in Indianapolis and the surrounding communities, Harville participates on various board leadership roles, and is a graduate of the Madison County Leadership Academy. 

As Vice President, SBA Business Development Officer, Harville will help lead the SBA team at Merchants Bank, which has continued to actively lend to small businesses across the country throughout the pandemic. The SBA group provides a number of financial assistance programs for organizations looking to grow. 

Secondly, before taking on his new role at Merchants Bank, Rinker served as a relationship manager for First Merchants Corporation for three years. Rinker also worked for PNC Bank, serving in a variety of roles from senior business banker to commercial banking relationship manager and spent over nine years with Fifth Third Bank. Rinker holds a master’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. 

In his new capacity as Vice President, Business Banking, Rinker will work with small businesses to large commercial companies, providing business loans, deposit services, and more for organizations around the U.S.
