Meridian Design Build recently broke ground on a 100,560-square-foot build-to-suit for Cathay Industries on a 6.79 acre site within Abbott Land & Investment’s Blue Heron Business Park in Bartlett, Illinois. Cathay Industries is a manufacturer of synthetic iron oxide pigments.
The 30-foot clear building will feature eight loading docks, two drive-in doors, 70 auto parking spaces and 4,000 square feet of corporate office space. The building is the fourth facility to be constructed within Blue Heron Business Park. Additional development sites, including several sites zoned to accommodate outside storage, are available for sale or lease. Meridian is completing the project on a design/build basis with Harris Architects providing architectural and structural design services and Mackie Consultants handling the civil engineering design.
