Meridian Design Build completed the construction of an automated package sorting and distribution center in Winnebago County, Illinois, for Ruedebusch Development & Construction.
The new facility, constructed on a design-build basis, is located within the I-39 Logistics Corridor on a 24-acre site in Venture One’s Rock 39 Industrial Park.
The 186,533 SF building includes 58 loading docks, 142 interior van loading positions, 187 exterior trailer stalls and a 390 car employee parking lot. Additional improvements included construction of a maintenance garage and a freestanding gateway building that serves as a secure entry point into the facility.
Architectural and Structural design services were provided by Cornerstone Architects, Ltd. Civil engineering design was completed by Jacob & Hefner Associates.
