Meridian Design Build recently completed work on a 189,926 SF build to suit in the Quad Cities area for Indianapolis based developer Scannell Properties. The new automated package sortation and distribution facility is located on a 29 acre site in Rock Island, IL at Route 92 and Turkey Hollow Road.
The pre-engineered metal building includes 59 loading docks, 193 exterior trailer stalls, 160 van loading positions, and 8,256 SF of office space. As a part of their work, Meridian coordinated construction of a freestanding security building and offsite improvements that included widening of Turkey Hollow Road and the addition of turn lanes to provide improved access to the site.
Precept Design, LLC served as architect and Shive-Hattery provided civil engineering services for the project.
