Meridian Design Build recently completed the renovation and expansion of a 14,626-square-foot medical office facility for Barrington Orthopedic Specialists at 120 E. Higgins Road in Elk Grove Village.
The project, completed on a fast-track basis in 64 working days, involved the full renovation of an existing single-story office building to repurpose it for medical use. The completed project includes a physical therapy gym, exam rooms, cast rooms, imaging areas and full-service rehabilitation facilities. An addition was also constructed to accommodate reception/waiting areas and a covered patient drop-off canopy.
Bob Kolcz, project manager, and Fred Jennings, general superintendent, coordinated the project for Meridian Design Build. Areté-Knight provided comprehensive design services including architectural, structural, MEP/FP and interior design.
