Farmington Hills, Mich.-based Friedman Integrated Real Estate Solutions recently launched a mobile version of its commercial real estate Web site, friedmanrealestate.com.
Friedman Mobile provides access to Friedman’s commercial property information on mobile devices such as Blackberrys, iPhones, Android and Windows-based phones. Features of the site include the ability to search Friedman’s database of listings, access available suites, view floor plans and property images and pinpoint the location of a listing using the device’s mapping applications. Visitors can request an e-mail or call from a Friedman broker, e-mail property information, access Friedman’s blog, read market news and connect to social networking sites.
“In commercial real estate as in all industries, today’s consumers increasingly rely on mobile technologies such as smart phones and tablets for instant access to information,” said Gary Goodman, managing director of Friedman’s brokerage division.
According to technology research group Gartner, mobile phones and tablets will overtake PCs as the most common Web access device worldwide by 2013. It predicts the total number of smart phones and tablets will outstrip PCs in the next two years, with these browser-equipped devices set to exceed 1.82 billion units, against 1.78 billion PC computers.
“Our goal is to provide prospective tenants, buyers, and brokers with immediate, live access to our entire property listing database regardless of location” Goodman added.
