Farmington Hills, Michigan-based Friedman Real Estate has hired Brian Whisenhunt as managing director of commercial property management.
In his new role, Whisenhunt will oversee the management and administration of Friedman’s 18-million-square-foot portfolio of office, industrial and retail properties.
Whisenhunt will be based out of the company’s Farmington Hills corporate headquarters and will be charged with leading and mentoring a team of approximately 30 property management professionals. He will also have oversight responsibility for all property operations, including budgeting, capital improvement implementation, vendor contract management and administration of all client and tenant relations.
Prior to joining Friedman, Brian has spent almost 25 years working in various property management and construction roles. He holds a Bachelor of Sciences degree in Building Construction Management with a concentration in Supervision from Purdue University and is a Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM) through the International Council of Shopping Centers.
