Roncelli –a construction services company based in Sterling Heights, Michigan – expanded its executive leadership team under the direction of company President & CEO Gino Roncelli.
Effective May 2025, four new chief officer positions were officially added to Roncelli’s management group, developed in response to the company’s continued growth, and to support evolving corporate goals and future expansion. The newly created roles include: Jim Carnacchi as Chief Preconstruction Officer, Michael Cairns as CFO, Paul Day as COO of Core Markets and Jereme Poxson as COO of Specialized Markets. All chief officers also are partners in Roncelli’s employee-owned company structure.
As Chief Preconstruction Officer, Jim Carnacchi, promoted from V.P. of Estimating, is responsible for leading the company’s Preconstruction and Estimating Division, including management of the bidding process, awarding contracts to subcontractors and ensuring accurate cost estimates for projects. With Roncelli since 1994, Carnacchi’s experience and expertise is critical in setting the foundation for each project’s success, through strategic planning, budgeting and collaboration. Carnacchi is a graduate of Ferris State University with a degree in Construction Management. He has a Michigan Builders License and is US Green Building Council LEED® and OSHA 30 certified.
Michael Cairns, Roncelli’s CFO, is actually the only new C-suite leader that initially assumed his new responsibilities in previous years, but is officially being announced as CFO with the company leadership restructuring at this time. Cairns is responsible for oversight of the company’s accounting department, financial operations and risk management. He has been a Certified Public Accountant in Michigan since 1994, and has been with Roncelli since 1999. He is a member of the Michigan Association of CPAs, past president and board member of CFMA-Detroit and past board member of Detroit Area Construction Association. Cairns is a graduate of University of Detroit Mercy with a BBA in Accountancy.
Former VP of Construction Operation, Paul Day, is now Roncelli’s COO of Core Markets. Day supports project management and supervises team members with schedule management, quality of performance, cost control and project delivery. Another company veteran, Day, a native of Buffalo, NY, has been with Roncelli since 1994. He earned an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from Michigan State University and a graduate degree from Oakland University in Engineering Management.
Jereme Poxson has been named Roncelli’s COO of Specialized Markets, formerly serving as V.P. of Healthcare. In his new role, Poxson, who joined Roncelli in 1998 as an estimator, is now responsible for operation oversight and excellence, as well as driving strategic growth, across Roncelli’s specialized markets, including: Healthcare, Education, Government and select regional sectors. Poxson, a Michigan native, graduated from Western Michigan University.
