Mid-America Asset Management Inc. recently secured five new retail leases on behalf of shopping centers in the Chicagoland area totaling 49,000 square feet.
DSW signed a lease for 16,337 square feet at Colonial Plaza located at the northwest corner of Veterans Parkway and Illinois Route 9 in Bloomington, Illinois.
The 241,340-square-foot center also includes tenants Dick’s Sporting Goods, Ashley Furniture and Cato Fashions. The location is expected to open August 2016.
Mid-America Leasing Representative Samantha Schnell represented the landlord. Mike Schertler of Tartan Realty Group represented the tenant.
The Endorphin Effect signed a lease for 13,000 square feet at Brewster Creek Centre located at the northeast corner of Route 59 and Stearns Road in Bartlett, Illinois.
The 41,945-square-foot center also includes tenants Sherwin-Williams, Subway and ATI Physical Therapy. The location is expected to open third quarter 2016.
Mid-America Vice President Jaime Bertsche and Leasing Representative Maria Rossobillo represented the landlord. Michael Tootelian of Kale Realty represented the tenant.
Five Below signed a lease for 8,000 square feet at Ford City Mall at the northeast corner of 76th Street and Cicero Avenue in Chicago.
The 661,644-square-foot mall is anchored by AMC Theatres, JCPenney, Carson’s, Marshalls, Ross Dress for Less and h.h. gregg.

Talbots signed a lease for 6,675 square feet at Geneva Commons located south of the southeast corner of Randall and Bricher Roads in Geneva, Illinois.
The 437,546-square-foot center is anchored by Dick’s Sporting Goods, Crate & Barrel, Barnes & Noble and Forever 21.
