Mid-America Asset Management Inc. recently signed ballet-inspired fitness center Pure Barre to two shopping centers in the Chicago area.

South Carolina-based PB Holdco LLC, d/b/a Pure Barre signed a lease for 1,845 square feet at Church Street Plaza in Evanston, opening in August 2013, and a lease for 1,588 square feet at Rice Lake Square in Wheaton, with plans to open in October 2013.

Pure Barre, founded by dancer and choreographer Carrie Rezabek Dorr, offers exercises at the ballet barre featuring small isometric movements set to motivating music. In July 2009, Pure Barre became a nationwide franchise.

Church Street Plaza is located on Church and Maple avenues in Evanston. The center includes other area retailers CineMark Century Theatres, Bravo! Cucina Italiana, Urban Outfitters, Cost Plus World Market and more. Mid-America Vice President Liz Krebs represented the landlord in the Church Street Plaza lease, with Jack Siragusa of Cushman & Wakefield representing the tenant.

Rice Lake Square is located near the northeast corner of Butterfield and Naperville roads in Wheaton. Other retailers located in the 251,362-square-foot center include Whole Foods, Stein Mart, PetSmart, Sports Authority and Studio Movie Grill. Mid-America Principal Marget Graham and Vice President Katie Hennegan represented the landlord in the Rice Lake Square lease, while Jack Siragusa of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant.
