Fenton, Missouri-based Midas Construction is beginning a new era of growth with a new name – MBG (Midas Building Group). MBG is a leading builder of hospitality, multifamily and senior living projects throughout the Midwest with active projects in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. The firm also has a new website at www.mbgbuilt.com.

For nearly 15 years, MBG has grown from a builder of hospitality projects by adding multifamily, senior living, and commercial construction to its portfolio of services. “Drawing on our hospitality expertise and developer insight, we construct spaces that are ‘Built for Life,’” noted Shinkle. Meanwhile, MBG is settling into a new and larger headquarters on the Maritz Corporate Campus at 1400 South Highway Dr. in Fenton, Mo., a suburb of St. Louis. MBG moved from its 5,226-square-foot former headquarters in Clayton to its 12,005-square-foot Class A office in Fenton, which also includes an additional 5,076-square-foot warehouse space.
The new headquarters has several amenities to unite the firm’s culture and attract and retain the best talent. That includes collaborative work and meeting space, a café, an infusion of technology to support remote work and a social gathering area for company celebrations that include shuffleboard, darts and games. Employees will also have full access to campus amenities including a state-of-the-art fitness center, multiple auditoriums and conference facilities, a full-service cafeteria and walking trails.
This summer the St. Louis Business Journal ranked MBG among the region’s fastest growing companies noting “the firm reported revenue growth of 167% from 2021 to 2023 and also reported large growth in local presence – in 2021, the firm reported 17 local employees 2021 and 40 employees as of the second quarter of 2024.” Today MBG employs 48.
