Investors and developers alike are sinking big dollars into downtown Milwaukee. It’s no surprise, then, that the Downtown Milwaukee Development Summit held April 2 at the city’s Potawatomi Convention Center by Midwest Real Estate News attracted a big crowd. More than 250 CRE pros in the region attended the event.
Rebecca Kleefisch, lieutenant governor of Wisconsin, was the event’s keynote speaker, with James Cook from Xcelligent serving as the master of ceremonies.
Highlights included Richard Aaronson from Atlantic Realty speaking of his company’s Gallun Tannery redevelopment project; a look at downtown Milwaukee’s residential boom, including thoughts from panelists such as Nancy Haggerty, Michael Best Friedrich, and Stu Wangard from Wangard; and a panel focusing on 833 East, the modern new Class-A office building in Milwaukee.
