Mike DeSerto of Entre Commercial Realty was presented at the 2016 Frank Mahoney Award of Excellence at the AIRE Luncheon in Rosemont, Illinois on June 13.
The Frank Mahoney Award recognizes outstanding leadership, community, service and real estate brokerage success among young industrial real estate professionals with less than five years of experience, according to a statement from AIRE.
After receiving the award, DeSerto said, :It’s an extremely prestigious award that many recognized individuals in our industry have received. To be one of the makes me extremely proud and I look forward to seeing what’s next.”
Brendan Green of Colliers International, and AIRE’s vice president, presented the award to DeSerto and noted it was not only about serving clients or industry but serving the community, the statement said. DeSerto coaches youth sports for children in the community, works on a local neighborhood beautification program and actively participates in an economic development group in his hometown.
DeSerto joined Entre as a full-time broker in 2013 and quickly gained the respect of his co-workers, the statement said. Principles Daniel Jones and Daniel Benassi wrote in Entre Commercial’s nominating letter that as a broker DeSerto is knowledgeable, professional and committed to doing the right thing. They also said he’s someone respected by both new and veteran brokers because he mixes technology with old school brokerage.
