Newcastle Limited is pleased to announce that Mike Tsakalakis has joined the organization as vice president, retail property management. In this capacity, Tsakalakis will take on the responsibility of overseeing the strategic operations and financial performance of Newcastle’s retail portfolio. He will lead the retail team in managing the firm’s more than 600,000 square feet of retail space across 60 assets, accommodating 150 retail tenants.
Before joining Newcastle, Tsakalakis served as director of retail operations with JLL, responsible for facility management and operations for a portfolio of super-regional malls, vertical shopping centers and lifestyle centers. Before his role at JLL, he was director, national operations with Starwood.
Tsakalakis received a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Illinois and is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
