
Minneapolis’ Kraus-Anderson promoted Wayne Gray to CFO of KA’s construction, realty and insurance businesses collectively known as the companies’ operating business units (OBUs). Tim Asgrimson will continue to serve as the CFO of KA’s holding company.
In his new key role, Gray becomes the strategic finance leader for KA’s diversified portfolio of OBUs, supporting strategic planning, investment decision-making, financial and risk management, and long-term value creation.
Gray joined KA Construction in 2019 as vice president of finance and was promoted to senior vice president of finance in 2022.
He has more than 25 years of experience in senior financial, operational and enterprise risk management, including two decades in executive financial roles at Clark Construction Group, LLC in Bethesda, Md.
Gray holds an MBA from the University of Maryland University College in College Park, Md. and a B.S. in Business Administration, Finance and Economics from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in Princess Anne, Md. He is a member of the Financial Executives International, Twin Cities Chapter and is board chair of Twin Cities RISE!, providing comprehensive workforce development to under and unemployed individuals with the mission of transforming the lives of those impacted by racial or socio-economic barriers through personal empowerment, career training and meaningful employment. Gray also serves as board vice chair of Summit Academy Opportunities Industrialization Center (OIC), an accredited nonprofit Career and Technical Education (CTE) institute in North Minneapolis.
