Minneapolis’ Kraus-Anderson names new manager

Chad Rempe

Minneapolis-based Kraus-Anderson Construction has named Chad Rempe as the company’s preconstruction design phase services manager. The newly created position is an extension of Rempe’s continuing role as director of KA’s supply chain, designed to further leverage his knowledge to the benefit of the company’s clients and design partners.

Rempe will work closely with the preconstruction department’s technical teams, including BIM/VDC, MEP Systems, Building Science, Lean and Estimating, to help establish the front-end vision, budget and goals – including the ROI — for KA’s clients. He will orchestrate the strategic process with preconstruction services, while building and leveraging stronger contractor/architect relationships through early stewardship of KA’s projects.

Rempe joined KA in 1999 as an assistant project manager, then became a project manager, managing notable projects including Black Bear Casino Resort & Hotel, One Southdale Place and select projects for the Metropolitan Airports Commission and MSP Airport.

Most recently, Rempe was the project director of the Kraus-Anderson Block development, which featured KA’s new 100,000-square-foot downtown campus, The Elliot Park Hotel, Finnegans House and HQ Apartments.

He earned a bachelor’s degree in Construction Administration from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and is a LEED Accredited professional. Rempe also serves on the board of the House of Charity in Minneapolis.
