Minneapolis’ Kraus-Anderson promotes industry vet to VP position

Brian Hook

Kraus-Anderson Construction, based in Minneapolis, has promoted industry veteran Brian Hook to vice president of field operations.  He previously served as director of field operations.  As vice president, Hook will oversee field activities for all KA construction projects as well as KA’s Twin Cities yard operations.  He also will manage the company’s general superintendents.

Hook’s 30-year KA career has included deep experience in both field and project management roles. He started as a laborer in 1991 and moved into project management in 1996, directing numerous projects in KA’s key K-12 education market.

“Brian has brought outstanding leadership and support to the complexities of the job, including the ongoing oversight and enforcement of this year’s Covid-19 protocols as well as assisting with union negotiations,“ said Rich Jacobson, executive vice president of KA Construction.  “His strong project experience, personable leadership style, and understanding of best practices have been instrumental to our abilities to maintain operations through all the challenges of 2020.  We are grateful for his presence and look forward to his continued contributions as vice president.”

Hook earned his B.S. in Construction Management from North Dakota State University, Fargo.  He is a member of North Dakota State University’s Construction Industry Advisory Council.
