
Colliers hired veteran investment sales broker Tom O’Brien as a vice chair, partnering with Colliers’ Investment Services Group in Minneapolis-St. Paul.
With O’Brien’s arrival, Colliers adds one of the market’s most well-known and experienced investment sales professionals to its business.
With 30+ years of experience, O’Brien is a recognized expert and prolific dealmaker in the Twin Cities investment sales arena with career transactions valued at $4.5 billion. He is noted for his broad network of institutional and private investors and exceptional transaction volume.
He was previously an executive director with Cushman & Wakefield’s Capital Markets Group, where he specialized in commercial investment real estate assets across the office, industrial, and medical sectors. His recent notable deals include the sale of the 1.6 MSF Normandale Lake Office Park; the sale of 10 West End, a 344,000 SF office building; the sale of Thrivent’s 261,000 SF headquarters; and the sale of a variety of single-tenant and multi-tenant industrial and medical office properties.
O’Brien’s client roster includes Goldman Sachs, MetLife, Bridge Investment Group, Angelo Gordon, US Bank, United Properties, Opus, and Ryan Companies.
