Minneapolis-based Oppidan Investment Company, a national property development firm, has completed construction on Cash Wise Foods in Watford City, N.D. The grocer is now open in this area that is booming thanks to high oil production.
Cash Wise Foods is located in Watford Plaza, a 130,000-square-foot commercial development Oppidan is currently building at the intersection of highways 85 and 23 in Watford City.
“It’s been very exciting to be a part of Watford Plaza’s evolution from a dream to a concept to a retail destination,” said Joe Ryan, president of Oppidan, in a written statement. “With the opening of Cash Wise Foods, residents of Watford City now have access to the goods and services they want and need. And what’s most exciting is that there’s so much more to come.”
Cash Wise is the first tenant to open at Watford Plaza. Oppidan expects the other tenants, including Alco, American Smokewagon BBQ, Happy Joe’s Pizza, Happy Rice Buffett, Mailbox Solutions, Oppidan Investment Company, Red Wing Shoes, Taco John’s, Tractor Supply Company, and Z Wireless, to open for business beginning in November. The center will be fully occupied and open by the end of this year.
