Minneapolis-based Timberland Partners recently acquired Summit Woods Apartments, a 318-unit apartment community in Topeka, Kansas.

Built in 2002, Summit Woods is comprised of 12 three-story, garden-style buildings and a clubhouse.

Apartment amenities include ample storage, full-size washers and dryers and fully-equipped kitchens, 162 garages with remote openers, 12-foot cathedral ceilings, and gas-log fireplaces.

The clubhouse features a fully-equipped fitness center, a business center with high-speed Internet and a swimming pool and whirlpool with sundeck. There are two playgrounds and well-groomed landscaped grounds throughout the community.

Plans are in place for exterior and common area improvements, along with new signage. Summit Woods will be rebranded as The Overlook, which aptly describes one of the community’s best attributes, the view from atop the ridge on which it sits.
