Al Petrie has joined Minneapolis-based United Properties as vice president of accounting effective May 11. In this role, Petrie will report to Eric Skalland, chief financial and administrative officer.
Petrie is a Pohlad Companies veteran since 1999. He brings more than 20 years of experience in accounting and a strong history of financial leadership and strategic planning to this role. He began as an accounting supervisor at NorthMarq (formerly United Properties) and was promoted to corporate controller in 2004.
In 2018 Petrie transitioned to PaR Systems, where he served as corporate accounting manager. During his time at NorthMarq and PaR Systems, he played critical roles in real estate, construction, development and service company acquisitions.
As vice president of accounting at United Properties, Petrie is responsible for oversight and leadership for accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecast projections and compliance.
Petrie holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota.
