The 5800 Building in the SkyRidge Business Center & Nature Preserve in Minnetonka, Minn., recently earned Platinum Certification under the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design for Existing Buildings: Operations & Maintenance rating system.
The building is one of less than 50 in the United States to achieve this level.
The 5800 building, home of Bailey Properties and the corporate headquarters of The Weidt Group, also obtained an Energy Star rating of 93.
The energy and environmental improvements to the building were made through a collaboration between the owners, Jerry and Mary Jo Bailey, and the Weidt Group.
The building also marks the 11th LEED Platinum project on which the Weidt Group has provided energy consulting services.
