The biggest names in the Minnesota student housing industry will gather at the Golden Valley Country Club in Golden Valley, Minn., on April 11. That’s when Minnesota Real Estate Journal will holds its 2012 Student Housing Summit.
Starting with registration at 7:15 a.m., with a program running from 7:55 a.m. through noon, the event will cover all the issues that developers, brokers and others need to succeed in the student housing industry.
The event starts with a look at the state of the housing industry moderated by Keith Collins from CBRE. Also sitting on this panel are Ryan Reed, CBRE; Justin Reed, CBRE MAI; and Mary Bujold, Maxfield Research.
Panels include a look at capital markets and financial solutions for student housing, challenges that colleges and universities face with housing and the future of student housing investments.
The event wil end with a panel focused on the steps needed to build a successful student housing project from start to finish.
Speakers throughout the day include Kelly Doran, Doran Companies; Matt Rauenhorst, Opus Group; Brian Thompson, Harrison Street Partners; Laurie McLaughlin, University of Minnesota; and Tony Carlson, Grandbridge Real Estate Capital.
A hot breakfast buffet will be served at 7:30 a.m. The event’s early-bird rate is $79. Starting March 28, the cost of this event will rise to $99.
Minnesota Real Estate Journal has applied for four hours of real estate and four hours of appraisal continuing education credits for this event.
