Minnesota’s commercial real estate brokers, developers and other industry leaders will have the chance to learn about the real estate, investment and business opportunities in North Dakota’s oil-rich Bakken region during a March 15 seminar held by Minnesota Real Estate Journal.

The second annual Opportunities in North Dakota and the Bakken: Minneapolis Summit will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Golden Valley Country in Golden Valley, Minn.

More than 500 people attended last year’s conference.

The Bakken region of North Dakota has received plenty of press for the large amounts of oil that companies are extracting from it. Geologists estimate that the region holds more than 25 billion barrels of recoverable oil.

At the same time, the region holds plenty of opportunities for real estate developers and investors. The oil boom has boosted the population of this region. And the area needs new restaurants, shops, gas stations, multi-family properties and single-family housing.

“The opportunities are almost limitless, and it is not too late to get involved,” said Jeff Johnson, publisher of Minnesota Real Estate Journal.

Johnson says that attendees at the conference will walk away with information that they can immediately use to make informed business and investment decisions.

More than 20 industry experts will speak at the confernece, including Chris Faulkner, chief executive officer of Breitling Oil & Gas; Joe Ryan, chief executive officer of Oppidan Investment Co.; Shawn Kessel, city administrator of Dickenson, N.D.; Tim Fisher of Bakken Energy Solutions; and Joseph Mahon, Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank.

Those who register for the event by March 13 will receive an early bird rate of $169. Those who register by March 14 will pay $199. The walk-in rate is $249.

For more information or to reserve a space at the conference, visit www.bakkensummit.com or contact Jeff Johnson at [email protected] or 952-405-7780.
