The Minnesota Vikings recently took another step toward the construction of a new football stadium with the hiring of a Minneapolis law firm.
The Vikings have retained Briggs and Morgan, P.A., a Minnesota-based law firm, to represent the team during the upcoming stadium design and construction process.
In addition, the Vikings have retained Joseph Leccese and Proskauer Rose LLP. Representatives from Briggs and Morgan, including chairman Brian Wenger, and Leccese will provide legal support and work in conjunction with Vikings vice president of legal affairs and chief administrative officer Kevin Warren and the Vikings stadium development team.
Further legal resources may be required throughout the project.
The Vikings have also hired Jim Cima as senior project manager. Cima most recently represented the New Jersey Devils during the design and construction of the Prudential Center, where he also managed operations for the first two years after the arena’s opening. Prior to this, Cima acted as the owner’s representative for the Philadelphia Eagles during the design and construction of Lincoln Financial Field and the Eagles training facility.
