Minnesota’s Kraus-Anderson Insurance names EVP

Jon Diessner

Burnsville, Minnesota-based Kraus-Anderson Insurance has promoted Jon Diessner to executive vice president. He has served as vice president of operations since June 2019.

Diessner will oversee the agency’s property/casualty, employee benefits and surety operations, and Kraus-Anderson Risk Innovation, the agency’s risk consulting practice.

As a third generation member of the family-owned, diversified Kraus-Anderson enterprise, Diessner’s
leadership has impacted the success of KA Insurance and its clients, driving the agency to new growth as one of the Midwest’s premiere privately held insurance agencies.

While the industry continues to trend toward consolidation by national brokers, KA Insurance’s succession planning initiatives, coupled with its own strategic acquisitions in recent years, are indicative of the agency’s long-term investment strategy and stewardship.

Diessner began his career with Kraus-Anderson Realty in 2009 as an assistant property manager. In 2011, he moved to KA Insurance as a property/casualty producer, where he managed new business development and client relationship management. In 2017 Diessner was promoted to director of operations, and in 2019 he was promoted to vice president of operations, where he managed the agency’s strategic planning, agency administration and project management.

He serves on the advisory board for Kraus-Anderson Insurance and the board of directors of Kraus-Anderson Companies. A Construction Risk Insurance Specialist, Diessner earned his B.A. in Finance from University of Colorado at Boulder, Leeds School of Business, and was named the 2018 Young Agent of the Year by the Minnesota Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers Association (MIIAB). He serves on the Burnsville Chamber board of directors and is a member of the Medallion Group, a national industry peer group.
