Minneapolis-based Oppidan Investment Company has purchased a two-acre parcel of land adjacent to its Pheasant Ridge Apartments multi-family commuinty in Watford City, N.D. In September, the company will begin construction of a second apartment building on the parcel.

Pheasant Ridge Apartments II will be identical to Oppidan’s Pheasant Ridge Apartments, a 42-unit building located just two blocks north of downtown Watford City offering one-, two- and three-bedroom units. Pheasant Ridge Apartments, which opened in June, is nearly 100 percent leased.

“As more and more workers and their families move to the Bakken region, the demand for well constructed, conveniently located rental housing will continue to grow,” said Joe Ryan, president of Oppidan. “We’re very happy to help meet that critical need.”
