Mankato, Minnesota-based True Real Estate launched True Land, a new division focused exclusively on agricultural and recreational land transactions.
Founded by Jen True—a native of the Mankato area and an award-winning broker—True Real Estate has grown steadily since opening its doors in 2016. What began as a small, dedicated team in the historic Union Depot building on Riverfront Drive has evolved into a regional market leader with three specialized subsidiaries: True Real Estate Residential, True Commercial, and now, True Land.
True Land extends the company’s reputation for integrity, credibility, and proven results into the agricultural and recreational land market. The new division offers clients an unmatched advantage with local insight, expert guidance, and straightforward service designed to simplify complex land strategies—whether buying, selling, or investing.
True Land is led by two experienced local land brokers who share a deep connection to the land and a passion for serving the region:
Adam Knewtson, ALC, brings his extensive farmland sales expertise to True Land’s clients in Southern Minnesota and Northern Iowa. Adam’s lifelong connection to farming began on his family’s farm in South Central Minnesota and has included a variety of agricultural ventures both domestically and abroad. Adam purchased his first farm in 1998 and has been involved in the land market ever since. Adam is an Accredited Land Consultant (ALC)—the only land-specific designation backed by the National Association of REALTORS®.
Brandon Wendlandt was born and raised just outside of Garden City, Minnesota, where he grew up working on his family’s row crop farm. Brandon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture from North Dakota State University and brings over a decade of experience in seed sales and management throughout Southern Minnesota. As the owner and operator of Wendlandt Seed, representing Dekalb and Asgrow brands, Brandon combines firsthand agricultural knowledge with proven expertise to help clients make informed land decisions.
