The Missner Group recently acquired 2555 S. Blue Island in Chicago. The freestanding 36,500-square-foot industrial/office/transportation building is situated on 5.14 acres in the heart of Chicago’s City South industrial market.
Upon acquisition of the property, The Missner Group leased the facility to North America Central School Bus Intermediate Holding Company LLC, which operates locally as Illinois-Central School Bus. The tenant is the fifth largest school bus company in the nation, serving more than 200 school districts in seven states with a fleet of more than 3,400 buses. The Missner Group has completed numerous improvements to the property including new fencing, lighting and landscaping.
Located at the corner of Western Avenue and Blue Island, the Illinois-Central School Bus property features 160 passenger bus stalls, eight drive-in doors, a vehicle maintenance building and a two-story office building.
Barry Missner and Edward Adler, senior vice president of The Missner Group led the acquisitions for The Missner Group. Brian Kling of Colliers International represented The Missner Group in the purchase of the property and Great Dane Trailers was represented by Mitch Adams of CBRE.
