The Missner Group has been selected for a 22,000-square-foot build-out for Catalyst Exhibits’ at the company’s new 145,000 square foot warehouse/office/production location in Pleasant Prairie, Wis. Catalyst Exhibits is slated to move from Crystal Lake, Ill. to southeast Wisconsin due to an attractive State of Wisconsin incentive package.
Catalyst Exhibits, a designer and fabricator of innovative trade show displays, was the first large, Illinois company to relocate across the northern border after Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker launched an incentive program to recruit businesses away from Illinois. Catalyst leased the 145,000-square-foot facility featuring eight dock positions and two drive-in doors in southeast Wisconsin for its new headquarters location. The property is located at 7809 100th Street in Pleasant Prairie with close proximity to Interstate 94 which leads both to Milwaukee and Chicago.
The tradeshow display firm selected The Missner Group to complete numerous improvements to the property including the construction of a two-story, 15,000-square-foot space for corporate offices and design studios. The office area includes four conference rooms and will feature a loft-style design with exposed ceilings, high-end lighting, and the use of glass and stainless elements. The Missner Group will also build-out a café space featuring a full-kitchen and espresso bar as well as an 8,000 square foot printing room with air conditioning and humidity control to protect the integrity of the fabrics and vinyl used in exhibit production.
Glen Missner, principal of The Missner Group, is the project executive for the build-out and Jess Knigge, vice president of construction, will manage the project. Harris Architects provided the architectural services and Larry Much, John Cash and Kelly Disser of NAI Hiffman represented Catalyst Exhibits in the new lease. Cobalt Capital Partners is the owner of the Pleasant Prairie property. The project is scheduled for completion in fall of 2011.
