BHMG Engineers, a St. Louis utility engineering firm, is growing its Metro East business with a new office in Collinsville, Illinois. The Sunset Hills, Missouri-based firm is leasing 25,000 square feet at Eastport Commerce Center, a 75,000-square-foot office/distribution facility developed by a partnership led by Contegra Construction Co.
It will replace BHMG’s existing 5,000-square-foot office at 1902 Vandalia St. in Collinsville. Contegra also managed the design and construction.
Located on a 9.5-acre site at the intersection of Eastport Plaza Dr. and Fairmont Avenue, the building capitalizes on its proximity to the I-255/I-55 interchange. It is constructed of tilt-up concrete panels with a decorative brick inlay and accented with storefront windows. It features a 28-foot clear height, four dock doors with three drive-in doors, high bay LED lighting and 160 parking spaces. Designed with flexibility in mind, the building can host up to three separately demised tenant spaces, each with their own building access.
