Creve Coeur, Missouri-based Poettker Industrial Services promoted one of its frontline employees.

Brad Luitjohan, an industry veteran with 22 years’ experience, first joined Poettker in 2006 as a Carpenter. Following his promotion to Lead Foreman in 2008, Luitjohan oversaw the construction of two retail centers, a rehabilitation clinic, and a middle school.

In 2010, Luitjohan earned a promotion to Assistant Superintendent in which he specialized in projects with extensive concrete. He spearheaded Poettker’s Total Station digital layout equipment to precisely pinpoint footings and foundation points on numerous projects, including Carterville High School, St. Mary’s Church, and Planet Fitness in Edwardsville, among others.

Luitjohan became Lead Operator in 2014 and then Civil General Superintendent in 2018. In 2021, he joined Poettker Industrial. In addition to scheduling production workers for Poettker’s utility and infrastructure projects, Luitjohan supported preconstruction efforts through proactive site visits and estimate preparation.

In his new role as Field Operations Director, Luitjohan will lead Poettker Industrial’s on-site efforts, including technology innovations; guiding site supervisors in safety, quality control and schedule management; allocating labor and equipment resources; and managing high-level trade relations.
