Montecito Medical has completed its acquisition of the St. Joseph Outpatient Surgery Center building in St. Joseph, Missouri.
The property, which offers nearly 15,000 square feet of space, is 100% leased to St. Joseph Outpatient Surgery Center.
St. Joseph Outpatient Surgery Center is the area’s dominant ASC (ambulatory surgery center), with 19 surgeons, four physician assistants and 12 anesthesia providers practicing at the facility. The surgeons perform procedures in a variety of specialties, including orthopedics, gastroenterology, plastic surgery, ENT and podiatry.
The center includes four operating rooms, two procedure rooms and recovery rooms. The facility serves patients from a large range of zip codes in the area surrounding St. Joseph, a growing exurb approximately 30 miles north of Kansas City.
The surgery center is advantageously situated with convenient access to Interstate 29 and less than five minutes from a major hospital campus.
The St. Joseph acquisition expands Montecito’s footprint in the Kansas City area. Last year, the company also acquired a surgery center property in suburban Lee’s Summit.
