Morgan / Harbour has completed the first phase of the 45,000 square feet of renovations planned for Kehoe Designs at 2555 S. Leavitt Street.
Founded in 1996, Kehoe Designs is a full-service event décor and design company specializing in luxury weddings, corporate and social events. The firm is consolidating four locations, including its headquarters at 2108 W. Walnut Street in Chicago, and relocating to the Pilsen neighborhood warehouse in order to house its employees in one location and to accommodate expected future growth.
Morgan / Harbour was selected to renovate the warehouse in two phases, the first of which is now complete. The first phase of the construction totaled 20,000 square feet and included the addition of four showrooms along with new production areas for floral, fabrics, lighting, graphics, welding, carpentry and CNC production departments. The second phase of construction, which is currently underway, will include renovating 25,000 square feet of the industrial space into an event space that can accommodate up to 1,000 attendees. The construction will include a new entry lobby, a canopy, restroom facilities as well as service rooms. The space will also feature an all new HVAC infrastructure. Morgan / Harbour’s construction team includes Senior Project Manager Graeme Foster and Superintendent Jerry Hawkinson. FitzGerald Associates Architects is providing the architectural services for the renovation project.
