Morgan / Harbour Construction Company is pleased to announce that 80 percent of NTA Precision Axle Corporation’s new facility in Carol Stream is operational as the project approaches completion.
Earlier this year, Morgan / Harbour was selected by Maeda Corporation to complete renovations to NTA Precision Axle Corporation’s new facility in Carol Stream, Ill. The project includes improvements to an existing 240,000 square foot industrial/manufacturing building as well as the construction of a 14,280 square foot expansion. Maeda Corporation is the construction manager overseeing the project for NTA in the western suburb of Chicago.
Located at 795 Kimberly Drive, NTA Precision Axle Corporation is a North American joint venture between NTN Corporation, Takao Kogyo Co., Ltd. and Asahi Forge Corporation. The company selected the property in Carol Stream as its new location after the firm was established in December of 2010. The new NTA facility was purchased to carry out the firm’s forging, turning and heat-treatment processes for the manufacturing of hub bearings for automobiles.
Ben Warriner is the project executive and Josh Peters is the project manager for Morgan / Harbour. James McCarron is serving as the site superintendent for the firm. Harris Architects provided the architectural services and Jacob & Hefner is the civil engineer.
