Morgan/Harbour has been selected to complete an 84,000-square-foot build-out for MBX Systems’ new headquarters and manufacturing facility in Libertyville.
MBX Systems, a manufacturer of custom-built server appliances for software companies, is relocating to a former Motorola facility in Libertyville from Wauconda to meet the space requirements of the company’s expected growth. Established in 1995, MBX has grown annually and has hired 17 new employees already in 2012.
The property is located at 1900 Winchester, now renamed 1200 Technology Way. Construction manager Cushman & Wakefield and MBX Systems selected Morgan/Harbour to complete the build-out, which includes improvements to a 27,000-square-foot office space, a 20,000-square-foot production area and 34,000-square-foot warehouse. Construction will include a new break room, open work areas, private offices, a kitchen and multiple conference rooms.
Heitman Architects Inc. is providing the architectural services for the project, which is scheduled for completion in October 2012. Morgan/Harbour’s construction team includes Vice President of Construction Ben Warriner, Project Manager Noah Warriner and Project Superintendent Steve Bulger.
