Morgan / Harbour has been selected to construct a new ground-up, 28,928-square-foot medical office building named Presence Senior Healing Arts Pavilion at 500 S. Weber Road in Romeoville, Illinois. Construction is slated for late summer 2016.
Hammes Company is the project manager on behalf of the developer and owner, affiliate Hammes Partners, a private equity fund focused on healthcare real estate.
The new facility will include a full imaging suite with MRI, CT, X-Ray, mammogram, ultrasound and bone density capabilities. Morgan / Harbour will construct 26 exam and procedure rooms, physical therapy training facilities, labs, treatment rooms/bays and private offices.
The center will also feature a café, community and group therapy rooms as well as a hotel-like concierge lobby with high-end finishes throughout. The brick and metal structure will also include a three-story dramatic glass curtain wall tower entrance with large porte-cochere at the main entry. The site will also feature a parking area, radiant heated sidewalks and extensive site lighting.
Ben Warriner, executive vice president of Morgan / Harbour is the project executive for Morgan / Harbour Construction, with Scott Staros as senior project manager and Amy DePinto as project manager. Jensen & Halstead, Ltd. is providing the architectural services.
