Morgan / Harbour has been selected to complete a 24,000-square-foot build-out for Portillo’s corporate office located within Commerce Plaza at 2001 Spring Road in Oak Brook, Illinois.
Warren Seil, president and partner of Morgan / Harbour Construction, said the firm expects to begin construction this month and have the new offices ready for occupancy in January 2016.
According to Morgan / Harbour, Portillo’s new space will include a reception area, private offices, conference rooms and multiple training rooms. The training rooms will require new supplemental cooling systems including a rooftop dry-cooler and pump package, heat pumps and an air conditioning unit. The office finishes will feature carpet tiling, resilient flooring and new paint and wall coverings. Morgan / Harbour will also incorporate direct and indirect lighting, millwork throughout, a millwork reception desk and full-height channel glass throughout the space.
Morgan / Harbour’s construction team will be led by Andy MacMillan, project executive, Noah Warriner, project manager and Jerry Hawkinson as the project superintendent. Whitney Architects is providing the architectural services and CBRE is the tenant representative for Commerce Plaza.
