Mortenson Development began construction Feb. 19 on a nine-story 211-room Hampton Inn & Suites at First Avenue and Eighth Street in downtown Minneapolis. The new hotel will be located near Target Field, Target Center and the city’s entertainment district.
The $37 million project is scheduled to be complete in the first quarter of 2015. It will be the first Hampton Inn & Suites in the city of Minneapolis.
ESG Architects of Minneapolis designed the hotel.
