MCS Industrial Supply Co. (MSC) has signed a long-term lease renewal and expansion at 1575 Hunter Rd. in Hanover Park, IL. With the lease, the leading North American distributor of metalworking and maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) products and services, increases its current 181,635-square-foot footprint by another 106,731 square feet and now occupies the entire 288,368-square-foot building. Colliers International’s Ron Behm, SIOR, and Ken Enos represented MSC in the transaction.
The distribution facility features 36 exterior docks, three drive-in doors and 30’ clear ceiling height as well as 12,000 square feet of office space. It serves as MSC’s Midwest distribution hub and a critical location in the company’s U.S. distribution network.
Prologis, owner of the building, was represented by Cushman & Wakefield’s Britt Casey, Al Caruana and Jeff Mattella in the transaction.
“Given its location in DuPage County, we were able to secure attractive economic terms for MSC,” said Behm. “Prologis was very accommodating and provided the much needed space for expected growth in the coming years.”
