NAI Hiffman vice president Aubrey Van Reken recently completed two lease transactions representing tenants in Chicago’s East-West Corridor submarket. The two transactions represent a portion of Van Reken’s first quarter leases on behalf of occupiers totaling more than 46,000 square feet.
In the first transaction, Hummingbird Pediatric Therapy—a provider of private, customized therapy programs for children—signed an 11,500-square-foot, long-term office lease expansion at 740 Pasquinelli Drive in Westmont, Illinois. Hummingbird Pediatric Therapy moved into the building last August and within twelve months had outgrown its space. Aubrey assisted in navigating early lease negotiations to expand, obtaining additional construction allowance and lease concessions. NAI Hiffman was the sole broker on the transaction; executive vice president Dan O’Neill and associate Ryan Maher represented the landlord.
In the second transaction, Van Reken represented Hoopis Group, LLC in lease negotiations for a new 7,800-square-foot office lease at 1001 Warrenville Road in Lisle, Illinois. The Hoopis Group provides insurance, investing and financial planning advisory. The Hoopis Group will be consolidating two suburban offices into its new upgraded suburban regional office location in Lisle as it continues to extend its service area further into the western suburbs. Phil Sheridan from Hamilton Partners represented the building’s owner, Millbrook Properties, in the lease transaction.
