Associate Nancy Lazer with Omaha’s NAI NP Dodge successfully brokered the sale of the Mason School Apartments in Omaha. The former school building sold for $1.2 million to a buyer out of Lincoln, Neb.
The 37,690-square-foot apartment complex is in excellent condition.
“It’s a really unique property,” said Lazer, who represented both the buyer and the seller in the sale.
The school was built in 1888, closed in the late 1970s and converted into a 32-unit apartment complex in 1989. In 1986 it was designated an Omaha Landmark and added to the National Register of Historic Places. Its notable students include philanthropist and industrialist Peter Kiewit.
