Home Products International renewed its lease on 330,000 square feet of space within the 1.25 million-square-foot Midway Business Center located at 5555 S. Archer Ave. in Chicago. Mark Nelson and Michael Nelson, principals at NelsonHill, represented the building owner, New Management Ltd., in the transaction and Sally Macoicz, senior director at Cushman and Wakefield worked on behalf of the tenant.
Also within Midway Business Center, Richwell Enterprises has leased 142,000 square feet of space. Mark Nelson and Michael Nelson represented the building ownership, and Matt Rogatz, president of Chicago Industrial Real Estate represented the tenant.
Loomis St. LLC has purchased a 96,000-square-foot building located at 1400 W. 37th St. in Chicago. Mark Nelson and Michael Nelson represented the seller, Dreamers LLC, in the transaction. The buyer was not represented.
MGI Leasing has purchased an 82,000-square-foot building situated on 13 acres at 11821 S. Cottage Grove Ave. in Chicago. MGI chose the property primarily because of its active exterior rail spur capable of accommodating 50 rail cars on the South Shore/South Bend line.
