NelsonHill has completed the sale of 2601 S. LaSalle in Chicago’s South Loop area to U-Haul International for $3.2 million.
Principals Mark and Michael Nelson represented Economy Folding Box, which had owned the property for 60 years. U-Haul was self-represented.
The international company providing trucks and storage space to self-movers for 69 years was attracted to the165,674 square foot South LaSalle site because of excellent visibility to those on both Interstate 55 and Interstates 90/94. The property features a 25,920-square-foot mezzanine level, 6,794-square-foot office space with 8- and 16-foot clear ceiling heights, four exterior docks, four drive-in doors and three freight elevators. In addition, to the proximity to the interstates, the ideal South Loop location is near McCormick Place, IIT, Chinatown and Bridgeport.
