CBRE is has announced that the Nestlé Pizza Division has taken occupancy of its new national corporate headquarters building located at 885 Sunset Ridge in Northbrook, Ill.

The 75,260-square-foot building serves as a relocation of Kraft Foods North America’s frozen pizza business previously located in Glenview, and which Nestlé purchased in March 2010.  Housing almost  200 employees and executives, Nestlé made significant renovations to  the building including the creation of a state-of-the-art research and development center.

Located in a major commercial corridor in Northbrook, 885 Sunset Ridge is situated on 4.01 acres.  A venture led by Jeff Annenberg of Annenberg Investments along with Greg Moyer of Moyer Properties purchased the former Plunkett Furniture building in May 2010 and marketed the property to a wide variety of retail, office and health care tenants.  Nestlé signed a long-term lease for the entire building and moved into the space in December 2010.

The building was completely renovated and redeveloped with a new exterior and state-of-the-art interior improvements. Housing the Nestlé Pizza brands Digiorno, Tombstone, California Pizza Kitchen, Jack’s and Delissio, the building is divided to include 60 percent office space and 40 percent research and development space.

“Nestlé chose this location for their new Pizza Division headquarters based on its proximity to employees, access to the expressway and the economics of the transaction,” said Todd Lippman, vice chairman, CB Richard Ellis, who represented Nestlé in the lease transaction along with Todd Doney and James Otto.  “Nestlé was able to renovate the building to suit both their office and research and development needs.”
