Marcus & Millichap brokered the sale of a net-leased Church’s Chicken retail property located in Chicago, according to Steven D. Weinstock, regional manager and first vice president of the firm’s Chicago Oak Brook office. The asset sold for $830,000.
Adrian Mendoza, first vice president, Austin Weisenbeck, senior vice president, and Sean R. Sharko, senior vice president and investment specialists in Marcus & Millichap’s Chicago Oak Brook office, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, a fund manager. The buyer, a limited liability company, was secured by Mendoza, Weisenbeck and Sharko.
Church’s Chicken is located at 6849 S. Western Avenue in Chicago’s West Lawn neighborhood. The deal overcame several objections including less than five years remaining on lease. The deal was all cash to a high-net-worth, local private investor and went from contract to close in less than 21 days.
